Don’t mess up your future

You only have one life, Don’t go messing it up. The choices you make now, will impact your life forever. A lot of schools won’t allow you to attend if you are a criminal.

That one college party you went to could mean that your going to be flipping patties for the rest of your life.

I get it, you want to have fun. Who wants to follow the rules anyway, right? The rules are there for a reason, but we are human. We make mistakes.

I’ve done some pretty stupid things myself. Not coming home on time, just to be greeted with a worried mother. Drank in school, just because my peers said it was cool.

It may be cool when your laughing about it with your friends. Will it be so cool when you can’t afford to feed your kids? According to the 2016 NSDUH, “…about 7.3 million Americans between the ages of 12 and 20 report current alcohol consumption…”

Everyone wants to be successful in life. Everyone wants to be able to provide for their family. If you take a drug and get charges on your permanent record you won’t be able to get a good job. Small children and teens look up to their guardians. What kind of example can you give to your kids if you have multiple charges against you.

Drug overdoses have become the number one cause of injury-related death in the United States, killing an average of 44,000 people every year, according to Medscape.

Put yourself in your parents shoes. If you had a teen, would you want them doing the stuff you are doing or would you want what’s best for them.

Drinking underage is a class 2 misdemeanor. You can get your license suspended from 30 days to up to a year. Don’t be reckless. You have one life. Don’t ruin it.
